Today was a big day! We walked the Canal St. Martin and drank a glass of wine over the bridge. Drinking in public is highly underrated and something the US should reconsider. Then we came back and took a quick nap. Being on vacation is great. When we woke up we walked down to the Ie de Cite. We ate an incredible dinner which included Escargot and red meat for the first time since we've been here. It was the best meal we've had so far. After that we walked back to the Highlander pub where we hung out with Sean and Steven again. I don't think we've ever had a local bar where we've been so welcome in any of the places we've lived before. We also made friends with a fellow Michigander. Although he was from Birmingham, so we made fun of him. We walked back and now we are planning to sleep til noon again. We also passed a store where I thought the guy on the awning looked like Neil Diamond.

We stayed at this little place in Paris and had THE most delicious chocolate croissants every morning - and I'm not even a breakfast person. There are so many amazing things to see, I'm elated to share your trip through photos!
ReplyDeleteIf ever a couple belonged in Paris, it is you two. What beautiful pictures! They have initiated a "restless feet" syndrome in me.
